Here's looking at you, kid

A little animation using a real person's eyes and a drawing I made for my good friend Diane, who needed the Buddha's head for a project. I looked at a lot of Buddhas from different cultures and sometimes his eyes were open but mostly they were closed.

Details

Line drawing on Bockingford watercolour paper with a light wash. It scanned in darker than the original; probably because of the texture of the Bockingford. The eyes were taken from a photograph, adjusted to fit the face and desaturated (to remove the colour) in Photoshop. The animated gif was created in Photoshop, using the 'make animation from layers' feature.
